At 10:10 p.m., officers were conducting a follow-up investigation when they contacted a male suspect at a strip mall in the 3100 block of Senter Road, according to police.
The suspect reached for a handgun and two officers fired their weapons, striking the suspect, police said.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
No other injuries were reported.
