A 17-year-old girl was assaulted and robbed by a large group of suspects in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
San Francisco police said the girl was robbed by a group of male and female suspects around 2:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Niagara Avenue, located just south of the Balboa Park BART station.
Police said a group of about 10 suspects approached the girl, knocked her to the ground and kicked her several times.
One of the female suspects took the victim’s cellphone while she was on the ground, police said.
All of the suspects fled the scene and no one has been arrested, police said.
The girl suffered abrasions to her knees and complained of pain.
She was treated at a hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
Officers said the victim did not appear to know her assailants.
