A body was recovered from Lake Chabot in Castro Valley Friday afternoon, according to the East Bay Regional Park District.
The body was spotted by a park user near the middle of the lake Friday afternoon and recovered by parks officials, according to district spokeswoman Carolyn Jones.
The Alameda County coroner’s bureau has been called to the scene.
