A brush fire in the Lake Berryessa area of Napa County has burned 6,900 acres and is about 20 percent contained, according to information released by Cal Fire Friday morning.
The Wragg fire started Wednesday at 2:24 p.m. after a vehicle crash at 7700 state Highway 128 at Wragg Canyon Road.
The fire is currently threatening 150 structures, and the Quail Ridge and Canyon Creek area communities remain under mandatory evacuation this morning.
Evacuations were lifted Thursday night for residents in the Golden Bear Estates area and for residents of County Road 87.
The fire has destroyed one outbuilding and tent trailer, and one other structure has been damaged, according to Cal Fire.
State Highway 128 from Wragg Canyon Road to Pleasant Valley will remain closed. The highway is also closed at County Road 89.
The American Red Cross has opened an evacuation center at the Winters Community Center at 201 Railroad Ave. in Winters, and a large animal evacuation center has been opened at 29775 County Road 31 in Winters.
As of this morning, 1,506 fire personnel, 157 fire engines, 54 fire crews, 13 helicopters, 35 bulldozers, and 18 water tenders have been dispatched to the fire, according to Cal Fire officials.
Winds have been erratic during the firefighting efforts, and the terrain is brush covered, rugged and steep with difficult access, fire officials said.
Officials said the fire has remained consistent and is spreading at a rapid rate.
