Man injured in Castro glass bottle attack

A man struck another man in the head with a glass bottle during an argument in San Francisco’s Castro District early Tuesday morning, police said.

The attack was reported around 12:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of 18th Street.

The 31-year-old victim was arguing with the suspect, a man in his late 20s who grabbed the glass bottle and hit him with it, according to police.

The suspect fled after the attack and had not been arrested as of this morning, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for a laceration to his head and is expected to survive.
