Police respond to shooting near Pride

San Francisco police responded Saturday evening to a shooting in the area of United Nations Plaza just as the Pride Celebration taking place in the area was ending.

UPDATE 9:51 a.m. Bystander injured at shooting near Pride.

Police said they were called to the area on a report of shots fired just after 6 p.m., when the event was scheduled to end.

Several suspects were detained on Market Street. Police said a victim might have been struck in the shooting, but further details remain unclear at this time.
