A man fell through a building’s skylight and died early Tuesday morning in San Francisco’s Mission District, a police spokeswoman said.
At about 4:20 a.m., medics received a 911 call reporting that a man had fallen through a skylight and landed in the garage below at a building in the first block of Shotwell Street near 14th Street.
San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan said a man between 30 and 40 years old shattered the skylight and fell to the ground.
Medics pronounced him dead at the scene at about 4:30 a.m.
The man had apparently been on the roof drinking with a friend prior to his fall.
The San Francisco medical examiner’s office has not yet released the identification of the man, pending notification of his next of kin.
