Obama departs SFO on Air Force One


President Barack Obama has departed San Francisco International Airport this morning, according to the White House Press Office.

The president’s motorcade left the hotel at 9:19 a.m., en route for the airport and Obama boarded Air Force One at 9:41 a.m., headed for Palm Springs, according to a statement from the White House.

Friday afternoon Obama spoke at the 83rd annual U.S. Conference of Mayors in San Francisco, discussing issues of racism and gun violence in the wake of Wednesday’s mass-shooting at an African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
