A female pedestrian died this evening after northbound Caltrain No. 445 struck her at 7:20 p.m. in Sunnyvale just north of the Sunnyvale station, according to Caltrain.
Nearly 100 people were on board the train at the time of the incident and the death is the 13th of the year on Caltrain tracks, Caltrain officials said.
Buses are taking passengers from the Mountain View station to the Lawrence station while authorities investigate the death, according to Caltrain.
