No citations were issued during a recent sting operation where a minor working with law enforcement waited outside liquor stores in Los Gatos asking adults for liquor, according to police.
The operation was conducted on May 28 and 29. During the sting, a minor would stand outside a liquor store asking patrons to purchase alcohol on the minor’s behalf while under the direct supervision of a peace officer, according to police.
None of the adults propositioned agreed to do so, however.
Furnishing alcohol to a minor comes with a minimum fine of $1000 and 24 hours of community service, according to police.
