One person was killed and two people seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in West Oakland Friday evening, according to police.
The three-vehicle crash occurred at 14th and Adeline streets at 5:10 p.m., according to police Officer Johnna Watson.
While details remain unclear, a man in his 40s who was riding in a white Chevrolet pickup truck was killed in the crash.
The man driving that truck was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition, while a adult female passenger remains in critical condition, Watson said.
A woman driving in a gray Audi sedan, which sustained front-end damage in the crash, also suffered minor injuries.
The driver of a Saab hatchback fled the scene on foot, abandoning the vehicle, Watson said.
Police remain on the scene and the cause of the collision is under investigation.
