A 6-year-old girl who went missing this morning in San Jose has been found safe in Stockton, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Police said the suspects, identified as Maurice Cheadle, 39, and Dawn Atkisson, 35, who allegedly took 6-year-old Ava Bar-Illan around 1:30
a.m., are in custody.
An Amber Alert was issued around 5 a.m. after the girl was abducted in San Jose. The Amber Alert has since been canceled.
She was located in the 5500 block of Tree Swallow Court in Stockton, according to police.
