Police are looking for a Rohnert Park man suspected of abducting his two young daughters and fleeing the state with them.
Everett Reep, 45, may be on his way to Washington state with the two girls. Police said they learned that Reep was stopped on Interstate Highway 5 in Oregon Wednesday evening in a white Mercedes Benz.
The children were with him, according to police. Reep had recently been served a temporary restraining order to keep him from his wife and children, police said. He then obtained an emergency custody order from another court and took his two oldest daughters from the girls’ after school program Tuesday, police said.
Reep’s wife contacted the court that issued the emergency custody order Wednesday about the situation with her husband and the court rescinded the custody order, police said. The woman now has legal custody of the girls.
Attempts to get in touch with Reep by phone, text and email have been unsuccessful, according to police.
Police describe the car Reep may be driving as a white 1998 Mercedes Benz E320 with California license plate 4RIG229.
Police are describing the children as 11-year-old Kyra, about 5 feet tall, 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The other girl, 9-year-old Alyssa, is about 4 feet 9 inches tall, 85 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes, according to police.
Police said Reep has been hostile recently and he may be trying to conceal the girls from their mother after the court issued the restraining order.
