Watsonville police arrested a man on Wednesday in connection with a burglary last week at Watsonville High School.
Jose Gustavo Hernandez, 39, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Officers responded at 4:38 p.m. Saturday to the high school at 250 E. Beach St. to a report of a burglary.
During the investigation, officers learned more than $4,000 worth of school equipment, including graphing calculators, computers and projectors, was stolen, police said.
Investigators viewed surveillance footage from the school and were able to identify Hernandez as the suspect, police said.
On Wednesday, officers located Hernandez and took him into custody.
Police said Hernandez was wearing some of the same clothing that was seen on the surveillance footage, and some of the property was recovered from a hotel where he was staying.
