A Napa County Jail inmate was found dead in his cell Wednesday evening, a sheriff’s captain said Thursday.
Bradley Allen Kent, 31, was found unresponsive by his cellmates around 7:40 p.m., Capt. Steve Blower said. Correctional officers and emergency responders administered life-saving procedures for 30 minutes before Kent was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
Kent was taken into custody Feb. 19 and was sentenced Tuesday to one year in the Napa County Department of Corrections facility for being under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of probation, Blower said. There were no obvious injuries or signs of foul play, Blower said.
