Three hurt in police cruiser collision

Around 12:30 p.m., officers were investigating a crime in the 1800 block of David Avenue, police said. An officer and a detainee were standing near a parked police cruiser when police said a car traveling east on David Avenue rear-ended the cruiser.
The officer and the detainee suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and police said one person inside the moving car suffered a moderate injury.
All three people were transported to nearby hospitals, police said.
