Officers responded to a report of a traffic collision in the area of Pine and Larkin streets around 10:30 p.m., according to police.
Police said a cab driving west on Pine Street struck a pedestrian when she ran out into the street.
The pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the collision, police said.
The taxicab remained on scene and police said the driver is cooperating with officers.
