The Golden State Warriors will face off against the New Orleans Pelicans in a best-of-seven series for the first round of the NBA playoffs.
New Orleans earned the Western Conference’s eighth and final playoff spot Wednesday with a 108-103 victory over the Spurs, who moved into the West’s sixth seed after the final day of regular season games Wednesday.
The Warriors as No. 1 overall seed will hold home court advantage throughout their playoff run beginning Saturday at 12:30 PDT at Oracle Arena.
If the Warriors win the series against New Orleans, they will play the winner of the Trail Blazers-Grizzlies matchup in the second round.
