Police seeking man involved in armed robbery

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Rite Aid Pharmacy at gunpoint in Corte Madera on Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect was armed with what appeared to be a black handgun when he entered the area behind the pharmacy counter at the Corte Madera Town Center and took prescription medications around 1 p.m., Central Marin Police Authority officials said.

The suspect was seen leaving the south end of the shopping center.

Police did not find the suspect during a search, but did find a replica firearm believed to be the gun used in the robbery.

The suspect is a white man roughly 40 to 50 years old who is 6 feet tall and 165 pounds.

He was wearing a baseball hat, dust mask over his mouth and nose, and a black shirt under a white jumpsuit, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Central Marin Police Authority at (415) 927-5150.
