Man shot in abdomen in Tenderloin

A man was shot in the abdomen in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Sunday night, police said Tuesday.

The 29-year-old victim was outside near the intersection of Golden Gate Avenue and Leavenworth Street at about 9:15 p.m. Sunday when he heard gunfire and realized he had been shot, according to police.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available Tuesday in connection with the shooting.
