San Pablo cop arrested in SF

A San Pablo police officer was arrested in San Francisco last Wednesday on suspicion of drug-related offenses, according to San Pablo police.

San Pablo police declined to release the name of the officer or elaborate on the alleged offenses. San Francisco police could not immediately comment on the arrest.

The officer was already on paid administrative leave on an unrelated matter at the time of his arrest, police said. The department became suspicious he was involved in illegal activity in San Francisco last Monday and notified San Francisco police.

San Pablo police Chief Lisa Rosales said in a statement:

“The San Pablo Police Department and its Police Employees’ Association are committed to upholding their motto of integrity, community and service. We take these matters seriously and will ensure a professional and comprehensive personnel investigation will be completed.”
