The Opening Day ceremonies at AT&T Park got underway just as the famous San Francisco fog finally burned off at China Basin.

Giants fans and writers alike joked that World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner would saddle up and carry the pennant to the pole on a noble steed.
That fantasy became reality. Bumgarner, in full uniform, hopped up on a police horse and carried the banner to Jeremy Affeldt, Matt Cain, Sergio Romo, Javier Lopez, Santiago Casilla, and Tim Hudson in the right field bleachers.
