Teen wanted for taking photos of student using bathroom

A suspect took photos of a student using a bathroom at a Millbrae middle school on Friday, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday, deputies responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at a bathroom at Taylor Middle School located at 850 Taylor Blvd., sheriff’s officials said.

Arriving deputies talked to school staff and the victim, a 12-year-old boy from Millbrae, according to sheriff’s officials. The deputies learned the suspect entered the school bathroom the boy was using shortly before 2 p.m., sheriff’s officials said.

The suspect reached under the dividing wall and took several photos of the boy as he was standing at the urinal, according to sheriff’s officials.

The suspect then ran out of the bathroom, sheriff’s officials said.

The victim said he did not recognize the suspect, who may not be a student of the middle school, according to the sheriff’s office.

The suspect is described as a white boy between 14 and 16 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a heavy build, sheriff’s officials said. He has blond hair that was slicked back to the bottom of his neck, and was wearing a brown short-sleeve shirt with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath, sheriff’s officials said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact sheriff’s Detective John Carroll by calling (650) 259-2313 or sending an email to jcarroll@smcgov.org. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call the sheriff’s office’s tip line at (800) 547-2700.
