Woman struck by stray bullet during shooting

Police Thursday morning are investigating a shooting in Salinas that sent a 19-year-old woman to the hospital.

Officers responded at 12:57 a.m. to the 1700 block of Klamath Drive in response to a shooting.

The intended victim told officers he was in front of a residence when one of two suspects dressed all in black shot at him several times, police said.

A 19-year-old woman not involved in the incident was inside her house when a stray bullet struck her, police said.

She was transported to the hospital with an injury that was not life threatening.
