A man was struck in the head with a baseball bat during a fight in San Francisco’s Mission District Friday evening, police said.
The incident was reported in the vicinity of 24th Street and Potrero Avenue at 8:13 p.m. Friday. Four males estimated to be between 16 and 20 years old were in a fight with a 36-year-old man when one of the suspects grabbed a baseball bat and struck the older man in the head, according to police. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, including a laceration to the scalp and a head injury, police said.
The four suspects fled the scene on foot. They were described as black males who were all wearing blue jeans and red sweatshirts, according to police.
