One injured, two detained at shooting near school

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a field next to Hamilton Meadow Park School located at 5530 Nave Drive around 4 p.m., Novato police Lt. John McCarthy said.
Arriving officers went to the field and found a male victim suffering from two gunshot wounds, McCarthy said.
The victim was transported to a hospital to be treated for the wounds that were not considered life-threatening, according to McCarthy.
About 30 minutes later, officers were able to detain two suspects in connection with the shooting, McCarthy said.
The suspects were found a couple hundred yards away from the field, he said.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene, McCarthy said.
