Two arrested in connection with armed robbery

Two San Jose men have been arrested in connection with a February armed robbery in Milpitas, police said Thursday.

Bryan Unciano, 27, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, and Joshua Ancheta was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Police responded on Feb. 5 to a report of an armed robbery on Glenview Drive near Ben Rodgers Park.

Four people were sitting in a parked car when two suspects, later identified as Unciano and Ancheta, approached the car, and one pulled out a handgun, police said.

The suspects demanded the victims’ belongings and fled the area, police said.

A witness saw the suspects fleeing the area in a white truck and was able to take pictures of the vehicle’s license plate, police said.

Detectives, with help from the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team and the San Jose Police Department, located Unciano in San Jose and took him into custody, police said.

Police said a search of the suspect’s home revealed a pistol, rifle, shotgun and ammunition.

Detectives later identified Ancheta as the second robbery suspect and took him into custody in San Jose, police said.
