A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on an Interstate Highway 880 off-ramp in Milpitas Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers responded to a report of a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian around 10:10 p.m. at the off-ramp from northbound Interstate Highway 880 to state Highway 237, CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.
The vehicle was described as a silver Infiniti sedan, Van Eckhardt said. The ramp has been closed while officers conduct an investigation, he said. The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has been called to the scene. No further details were immediately available.
