Bill Cosby’s June performance at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa has been indefinitely postponed, a publicist for the venue announced Friday morning.
Today’s news comes amid ongoing controversy over allegations and media reports that Cosby drugged and raped a number of women. James Smith, a publicist for the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, said that Cosby’s staff and John Low, the show’s promoter, reached a mutual agreement to postpone the show.
Smith referred questions about why the show was cancelled to Low, who could not be reached for comment. Smith said Cosby’s performance was booked early last summer and that tickets went on sale in November.
According to a prepared statement, ticket holders will be issued automatic refunds for their purchases. For more information about the refund process, call (707) 546-3600.
