Oakland police search for suspects in morning shooting

Police are looking for two suspects in a shooting that occurred Monday morning in Oakland, police said.

Police responded at 9:05 a.m. to the 800 block of 59th Street to a report of gunfire, said Officer K. Tran.

When police arrived they found two men struck by bullets, Tran said.

One man was in his 30s and the other was in his 20s.

Both were transported to a local hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Police said the suspects in the shooting are both black.

One was wearing blue jeans and a blue hoodie, Tran said. The other was wearing gray sweatpants and a black hoodie, police said.

The latter man was armed with a shiny black handgun, according to police.
