Justin Tuck talks up Ndamukong Suh as a Raider

Justin Tuck’s recruiting efforts are underway.

Via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Tuck is trying to reel in perhaps the biggest fish of the free agent class, Ndamukong Suh.

In Arizona for Super Bowl week, Tuck said:

“(He’s) Raider-ish. And that’s one of the reasons why I know Raider Nation would applaud that move, beyond the fact that he’s an awesome football player. He kind of fits the mold of … the toughness and the ferocious player that built the Oakland Raiders.”

Tuck planned on spearheading an effort to draw big talent to Oakland this offseason, and may be one of only a few players in the league with enough pull to do so.

Suh is a headliner, and the class could include others like Julius Thomas, Terrance Knighton, Devin McCourty, Darrelle Revis, and others. Even Dez Bryant could become available if the Cowboys can’t find a way to free up enough cap room to franchise him.

Tuck can join radio and television shows anytime he wants, and this certainly isn’t the last time he will speak up on big-ticket players. This is most likely the tip of the iceberg.
