A Morgan Hill man was killed in a motorcycle crash in San Benito County early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Sean Messina, 41, was driving a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on San Juan Highway south of Anderson Road where for an undetermined reason he drove off the roadway and crashed into a metal guardrail, suffering fatal injuries, CHP officials said.
Officers were notified of the crash shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday and based on witness statements believe the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. that day, according to the CHP. Messina was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP officials said.
Investigators have not determined if alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the CHP.
