Thirty-eight departures and 21 arrivals have been cancelled so far for today at San Francisco International Airport, an airport official said Monday morning.
The cancellations are the result of the blizzard expected in the northeast part of the country today, said airport duty manager Joe Walsh. Walsh said the cancellations are spread out throughout the day and things could change as the day progresses.
An official at Oakland International Airport said there are no cancellations as of yet. At Mineta San Jose International Airport two flights have been cancelled so far today, said spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes.
Barnes said the inbound JetBlue flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and the outbound flight back to that airport have been cancelled. She said there are no other impacts yet.
