Woman’s body found floating in Bay

A body found floating in San Francisco Bay off of Burlingame Monday morning appears to be that of a missing person whose car was found nearby, a police sergeant said Wednesday.

The woman’s body was found by joggers near the east end of Anza Boulevard at 9:48 a.m. Monday, Burlingame police Sgt. Don Shepley said. The fully clothed woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Shepley said. There were no immediate signs of foul play.

Investigators on Tuesday found a missing person’s report from elsewhere in the Bay Area that appeared to be the woman, then later that afternoon located her car in the area of Robert E. Woolley State Park, near where her body was found, Shepley said.
