It’s not with the Raiders, though, instead being hired as the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator, per a report by Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez. John DeFilippo was the quarterbacks coach with Oakland from 2007 to 2008, and 2012 to 2014.

DeFilippo oversaw the progression of Derek Carr, Matt McGloin and Terrelle Pryor with the Raiders over the last two seasons, also coaching up veterans Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart in 2012.
Palmer also produced one of the best seasons in team history in 2012.He tied for second on the Raiders’ single-season list in attempts (565), finished third in completions (345), second in yards (4,018) and 14th in touchdowns (22).
DeFilippo was well liked by all quarterbacks, and prefers a West Coast offense. There was no indication he received consideration from the Raiders as offensive coordinator, which was recently filled by Bill Musgrave.
Flip’s career also held a stop in New York as assistant quarterbacks coach, where he helped Mark Sanchez and the Jets to the AFC Championship game in his rookie year, and with the Giants in 2005 as offensive quality control coach.
He is the latest coach to depart Oakland, with few remaining from the previous disaster of a season. The Raiders let go special teams coordinator Bobby April Tuesday evening and hired former 49ers coordinator Brad Seely to replace him.
