Some San Francisco International Airport flights are experiencing 30- to 90-minute delays Monday because of foggy weather, an airport duty manager said.
Duty Manager Joe Walsh said the delays primarily affect arrivals from within 1,625 miles of SFO:
“In optimal weather conditions we can land 60 aircraft an hour. … Because of the weather, it’s reduced.”
As of shortly before 9:15 a.m., the National Weather Service was reporting a temperature of 50 degrees with calm winds at SFO. The ground delay program there is scheduled to remain in place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
Oakland International Airport is reporting clear weather this morning with no delays.
