Shooting outside school seriously injures one

A 20-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after he was shot multiple times outside an adult school in Vallejo Saturday afternoon, police said.

Lt. Kevin Bartlett said officers responded to a report of shots fired outside the Regional Education Center, located at 436 Del Sur Street in Vallejo, around 3 p.m.

Officers arrived to find a 20-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Bartlett said.

Emergency medical personnel transported the man to an area hospital and then to a trauma center.

Bartlett said two young men – one wearing black and another wearing tan or light-colored clothing – were seen running from the scene.

A representative from the Regional Education Center was not immediately available.
