A Sacramento man was shot and killed and another man was wounded at an East Oakland gas station Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Police responded at 1:38 p.m. to numerous reports of a shooting at the Valero gas station at 7225 Bancroft Ave., police spokesman Officer Frank Bonifacio said.
Officers found the 23-year-old Sacramento man there suffering from a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
UPDATE 2:51 p.m. Sacramento man shot and killed at an East Oakland gas station on Thursday afternoon was identified today as 23-year-old Derrick Williams, according to police.
Later, police found out that a second man, a 26-year-old Pittsburg resident, had also been shot there and took himself to a hospital. He was in stable condition after the shooting, Bonifacio said.
