Three people were “severely beaten” in separate robberies that occurred within an hour near Richmond BART station Monday night, a police lieutenant said.
The robberies occurred after 8 p.m. in the 1300 block of Nevin Avenue, Richmond police Lt. Al Walle said. In each case, the victim was walking alone when the suspect approached them and took their cellphones and money, Walle said.
One of the victims, a female, was transported to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center for an injury to her eye and was in stable condition, he said.
