Redwood City officials will continue to keep shelters open with limited hours Monday and Tuesday to help residents displaced by flooding, city officials said.
Residents can visit the Fair Oaks Community Center, located at 2600 Middlefield Road, for assistance recovering from flooding that swept through two mobile home parks in Redwood City, officials said.
The shelter will be open Monday from 8 – 11 a.m. and from 1 – 4 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 – 11 a.m., officials said.
The shelter will again be open for the same hours on Monday, Dec. 29, and Tuesday, Dec. 30.
Residents will be able to receive help with food, clothing, and other recovery needs.
City officials said they have also scheduled a community meeting for residents of the two mobile home parks on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Fair Oaks Community Center.
City officials will provide information about how those residents can apply for possible assistance from the nonprofit organization, Rebuilding Together, for help with certain repairs to their homes.
Last week, the Red Cross opened a service center in San Mateo for three days to help residents who were displaced by flooding throughout San Mateo County.
Redwood City officials said the Red Cross is now referring residents to the Fair Oaks Community Center for assistance.
