A man who allegedly kidnapped and molested a 10-year-old girl at a Salinas Walmart Supercenter Friday turned himself Saturday morning, police have announced.

A man who allegedly kidnapped and molested a 10-year-old girl at a Salinas Walmart Supercenter Friday turned himself Saturday morning, police have announced.
Jorge Cervantes, 35, turned himself in at the Salinas Police Department about 8 a.m. Saturday, according to police.
He allegedly molested the girl at a store at 1800 North Main Street in Salinas where he posed as a Walmart employee offering to assist the girl, police said.
Cervantes allegedly fled the store after assaulting the girl in a bathroom and in a store aisle, according to police.
When he turned himself in, police questioned him and then transported him to the Monterey County Jail.
He is being held on bail of $1 million, after detectives requested the bail amount be increased.
