Thousands without power in Bay Area

PG&E reported late Thursday night about 6,000 residents in the Bay Area were still without power due to inclement weather pushing through the area.

Four hundred of the outages were in San Francisco, 500 were in the Peninsula, 1,700 were in the South Bay, 1,600 were in the East Bay, and 1,800 were in the North Bay, according to PG&E officials.

PG&E officials said 151,000 customers were impacted in the Bay Area and 357,000 were impacted system-wide due to storm-related outages. PG&E has restored service to more than 300,000 customers since the storm began Thursday morning.
