Nasty weather delays flights into SFO

The San Francisco International Airport is experiencing nearly 30-minute to 120-minute delays, an airport spokesman said.

Inclement weather conditions and wind has slowed incoming air traffic to an average of 28 per hour, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA instituted a flight delay program, which mostly impacts aircrafts as they are entering the airport, said spokesman Charles Navigante.

However, Navigante noted:

“Of course if it’s affecting inbound traffic, it will affect outbound departures as well.”
