A man found dead in a suspected homicide in San Francisco‘s South of Market neighborhood Monday afternoon has been identified as a 63-year-old San Francisco resident, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Gary Mulhearn was found dead in the first block of Essex Street shortly after 2:30 p.m., according to police. Medical examiner’s investigators responded, concluded Mulhearn’s death was suspicious and said it is being investigated as a homicide.
Neither police nor medical examiner’s investigators have elaborated on how the man is believed to have died pending an autopsy. No suspects have been identified.
