Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner can now add a Silver Slugger award to his World Series MVP and championship trophies.
Madison Bumgarner and Buster Posey took home Silver Sluggers for their respective positions Thursday.
Posey ranked fourth in National League in batting average (.311) to go with 22 home runs and 89 RBIs. His .348 road average led the majors.

The award was Posey’s second. He won his first in 2012.
Bumgarner can stuff his Silver Slugger next to the World Series MVP in his trophy case.
He batted .258 with four home runs and 15 RBIs, which led all National League pitchers in each category. Two of those home runs were grand slams and he became part of the first battery to hit grand slams in the same game with Posey.
