A man found dead on the front lawn of Santa Rosa Junior College Saturday morning has been identified as 35-year-old Robert Johnny Guzman, a transient from Santa Rosa, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
Guzman was found unresponsive on the lawn area bordering Mendocino Avenue and Elliott Avenue shortly before 10:15 a.m., according to Santa Rosa police. He did not have a pulse and was cold to the touch, and medical personnel called to the scene pronounced him dead at 10:20 a.m., police said.
Preliminary information indicates the death is a possible suicide, but a final determination will be made following an autopsy, which is scheduled for later this week. Guzman was not a student at the junior college.
