Home invader snatches jewelry off victim

A male intruder entered a Fremont home and stole a gold necklace from around a woman’s neck on Thursday morning, police said.

At about 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a strong-arm robbery in the 4200 block of Ross Terrace about a block from the Fremont Hub Shopping Center.

Police said the victim was inside her residence and had left her front door ajar when a man entered her home and snatched a gold chain from her neck.

The suspect fled after the victim yelled for her husband to help her, police said.

A witness reported seeing a possible suspect enter a four-door gray-colored vehicle that fled the area heading north, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black man between 30 and 35 years old standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall.

He was wearing a white shirt, denim jacket, tight black jeans and a black baseball cap at the time of the robbery, police said.
