Woman slugged in the face, robbed

A 24-year-old woman who was punched in the face and then robbed by two other women in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Thursday afternoon told police she knew her assailants.

Officers received a report of the assault and robbery at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Keith Street and Revere Avenue.

The victim said she was walking home when two suspects, also believed to be women in their 20s, pulled up alongside her in a vehicle.

The suspects exchanged words with the victim before getting out of the vehicle and attacking her, according to police.

Police said the victim reported that the suspects approached her, punched her and then took her purse.

Both suspects got back inside the vehicle and drove away from the scene, police said.

The purse contained a cellphone and credit cards, police said.

The woman suffered bruising to her face, but is expected to recover, police said.

Officers said the victim knew her attackers and identified them to police.

Arrest warrants in this case are pending, police said.
