Officers were called to investigate an armed carjacking in the 4600 block of Davenport Avenue at 10:53 a.m., police said.
The female victim gave officers a description of her vehicle and the suspects.
Around 11:45 a.m., officers patrolling in the 9700 block of Walnut Street, about 5 miles south of where the carjacking occurred, spotted the victim’s vehicle on the street, police said.
The officers set up a perimeter and conducted a yard-to-yard search until they were able to locate three males who matched the suspect descriptions, according to police.
The teens, a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds, were taken into custody without incident, police said.
The female’s car and a few of her other items were recovered, according to police.
