Motorists traveling between Solano and Marin counties this weekend should expect delays due to the construction project that has closed state Highway 37, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Highway 37, between state Highway 29 in Vallejo and state Highway 121 near Sonoma Raceway, remains closed today and Sunday for a major construction project, the CHP said.
The recommended detour via Highway 12, however, is experiencing severe delays and heavy traffic today, the CHP said.
Highway 37 is anticipated to reopen at about 5 a.m. on Monday and the CHP is advising that until it reopens, motorists plan additional time for trips and use alternate routes such taking Interstate Highway 580 across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
